Tetra and Star Mustang: Part 1

Roy and Riza Mustang each held one of their newborn twin daughters, Star and Tetra Mustang.

“They’re so beautiful,” Roy said quietly, he was standing right next to her in his Military outfit. Both he and Riza were at his office when she went into labor. So, they had to rush to the hospital, where she gave birth to their daughters. Roy was holding the older one, Tetra.

“Yeah…Star looks a lot like you.” Riza said, still breast-feeding Star. Roy was looking at Tetra, who was looking around the dim-lighted room with bright wide eyes. Roy had a feeling that they would be changing colors soon. She looked up at Roy and stared with a curious look. Roy smiled at his oldest daughter, and she grinned up at him.

“Awww, shes smiling!” Roy said, showing it to Riza. She grinned widely, “She has your smile, Riza.”

“Hmm, it looks more like your charming smile.” Riza said sexily. Roy kissed her on the lips, and they held it for a long time.

“Hey you two love birds!” Havoc said. They stopped kissing and looked up quickly. Havoc, Armstrong, the Full Metal Alchemist, Al, and Fuery all stood there.

“What are you doing here?” Roy sputtered surpraised. “You’re supposed to be at the office!!”

“And what? Miss welcoming your children into this world? I don’t think so!” Armstrong said in his usual annoying tone.

“Aww! This one looks like Riza!” Edward said, taking Tetra from Roy and holding her. “Hey little guy!! I’m Edward!” He said softly, not to startle her.

“Aww! This one looks like the Major General!!” Al said, walking over to Riza who stopped breast-feeding and pulled up her shirt.

“Um…they’re both girls.” Riza said, before they asked any questions.

“What are their names?” Fuery asked, looking at Star.

“The one who looks like me is Star,” Roy said. “The one who looks
like Riza is Tetra. Tetra is the older one.”

“What awesome names!” Edward said to Roy. He smiled at Tetra, who just blinked up at him. She then snuggled in her blanket and went to sleep. Havoc looked over Ed’s shoulder. He smiled down at the sleeping Tetra.

“Well, Riza, aren’t you lucky? You have two beautiful children.” Armstrong said.

Riza just smiled and nodded at all the comments everyone else made. They stayed there for an hour, but then a nurse came in and ushered them out. It was pretty late. She brought in a cot for Roy to sleep in, so he could stay with his wife.

Riza had to stay in the hospital for a few more days. The doctors had to make sure that her having twins didn’t damage her, because it was possible for something wrong to happen.

“I love you Roy.” Riza said.

Roy came over and kissed her on the lips, “I love you too, Birdy.” Then, they both went to sleep.

Riza, Star, and Tetra were aloud to go home after three days in the hospital. Roy went back to work, and Riza stayed home for a week. Whenever Roy got home, Riza looked bad. She looked tired, and it was getting worse every day.

“Whats wrong, Riza?” Roy asked a week later. Her face looked thin, and it was pretty bad. She was acting dizzy.

“Wrong? Nothing’s wrong.” Riza said, working hard in the kitchen after just putting Tetra to sleep who woke up screaming when the telephone rang.

Roy turned her around and held her in his arms and made her look at him, “Riza.” He said seriously. “I know when something’s wrong. You’re not looking so good. Whats wrong?”

Riza looked up at him, “I’ve just been…ugh. It’s Tetra. She wakes up all the time when shes sleeping. Mostly during the night. You’re the heavy sleeper, but I’m the light sleeper. Star, is the heavy sleeper, but when she does wake up, she doesn’t scream. Tetra’s more like me. She sleeps lightly at some noises, and when she wakes up, especially during the night, she cries so loudly-“ She just shook her head. “I just can’t sleep.” She then rested her head on Roy’s shoulder. Roy pulled her into a hug.

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I could get someone to come and help you…”

“Yeah, but they’re- but they’re our babies. Not someone else’s.”

“Well…I’ll stay home, and you go to work, or, I know. I’ll order you for a week at the spa!!” Roy said.
Riza looked at him. “Wha…Really?”

“Really.” Roy said. “You need to relax. You were one pregnant, not me.”

“Mm…” She relaxed against him. “That would be nice…”

“Then, I’ll book it right now. You’re leaving tommarrow!” He said. They let go, and Roy left to book the spa.

The next day, Roy saw Riza leave for the spa for the week, when he went back inside the house, he heard the babies screaming.

“Holly crap!! I just remember!! I don’t know how to take care of children!!” Roy yelled as he rushed inside.
